Last year, Faze Miyake released his long-awaited and highly-anticipated self-titled debut album on Rinse. It quickly spawned a steady stream of top notch singles—”Ice Cold” with Inga Copeland, “The Nest” with Little Simz, “Below Me” with Sasha Go Hard, and “None Of That Stuff” with Family Tree—that bridged the gaps between grime, hip-hop and the bleeding edge of club music, with pretty much every track proving to be a firm favourite with DJs and fans alike.
To remind us all just how great it really was, Faze teamed up with Show Studio to put together this supercut of album highlights, brought to life with some eye-popping, brain-melting visuals. Those visuals, a mixture of lo-fi mobile phone footage filmed by Faze and hi-definition DSLR footage filmed by Joe Marshall, are the perfect representation of the gritty/glossy balance he struck on the album. However, if you’re anything like us, all this will do is make you more impatient for more Faze tunes.
